The staff at Joyland is excited that you have chosen or are considering our center for your childcare needs. We seek to provide you with not only the best childcare, but also excellent communication in your child’s everyday activities as well as information that can make you successful at home. Below please find additional information on our programming.

Classroom Information for September

We have a fun filled month planned at Joyland in September. All classes will take part in a program about insects and reptiles by P.T. Reptiles on September 13th. Please note that school will be closed on September 6th for Labor Day. Below you will find information about each classroom.


Wobblers: The children will learn about families this month. They will also be focusing on the color blue and the shape of square. The last week of the month they will talk about the season Fall. Sample activities include reading books about families, making family trees, blue collages and shape sorting.


Toddlers: The children will learn about reptiles/insects, favorite stories/books and dinosaurs. They will also focus on the shapes of square and triangle. Sample activities include square ice science, making frogs and caterpillars for art, dinosaur prints with playdough and the favorite book Big Hungry Bear activities.


Cardinals: The children will focus on learning their ABC’s and 123’s, working with fine arts, insects/reptiles and dinosaurs. Sample activities include: number and letter games, dinosaur matching, bug stamping and numerous art projects with different techniques.


Stars: Children will review their ABC’s and 123’s and learn about insects/reptiles, Johnny Appleseed and dinosaurs. Sample activities include: number bingo, dinosaur puzzles, life cycle of caterpillar, apple painting and letter games.


Kindergarten: Children will learn about families and the community and firefighters and safety. Sample activities include: mystery readers, community visitors, start of math home links, journal writing, safety rules and community puzzles.

Nutrition at Joyland

At Joyland we provide two snacks (morning and afternoon) as well as lunch, which is included in the tuition price. We seek to provide a menu that is “kid friendly” but also meets their daily requirements of each food group. Please click here to view our lunch and snack schedules.

Additional Programs Offered

Joyland currently offers a computer class for your child at an additional cost. The class, called CompuQuest, is for preschool and Kindergarten aged children. It which focuses on computer components, usage and vocabulary. The class is held once a week on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. You can sign up for CompuQuest by stopping in the office.

Joyland’s Referral Credit

One of the main ways that we advertise at Joyland is through word of mouth. We hope that you are happy with your experience and will in turn recommend us to your friends, family and co-workers. If you do refer someone who enrolls, we will give you a $100 tuition credit after they have completed their second month at Joyland. Please make sure to tell the potential parents to mention your name during enrollment.
